Ryan O.

-Project Manager, Ryan O. has over 25 years of agriculture work experience as a landscape company owner and irrigation technician. As Project Manager, Ryan O. will be IGUAP’s lead representative overseeing all project construction, education, marketing, media, budgets, and coordinating with the project’s executive team. Moreover, Ryan O. will work with directors in promoting and scheduling weekly farm market activities. Throughout all stages of IGUAP’s implementation project, Ryan O. will be researching and developing innovative new farming techniques as new technologies emerge. 

Ryan O.s relevant work experience includes environmental projects such as the Sturgis Drainage System in Troy MI; – scoring highest rated licensed fire sprinkler fitter in Detroit Local 704 while working as a skilled trade journeyman. Ryan O. was owner operator of Great Lakes Koi, LLC, an agriculture business specializing in plant and koi fishpond hydro-aquatic installations. Ryan O. was mentored by his father Alfred O. who was part owner of Fox Fire Landscaping up until the mid ‘90s. Ryan O. was also educated by his elder business partner and uncle, the late Joseph Alcini, an agricultural maverick that led Greater Detroit’s landscaping and environmental community since the 1970’s and installed some of the first green rooftops in Michigan, at the Kresge Building in Troy, MI. Ryan O. founded the state licensed entity Temple of InfiniD Gardens in 2017 and was federally recognized in 2020. In the process of becoming successfully licensed under the 2020 Farm Bill to Farm Hemp in Michigan under the 2014 Michigan Hemp Act to both grow and process hemp, Ryan O. had federal background checks completed and provided Farm Census Research to Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. Throughout a decade of agricultural business dealings, Ryan O. has worked with local Macomb and Wayne County farmers and markets. Organically, Ryan O. has accumulated a network of peers within the Michigan agricultural industry to provide the opportunity to participate. Ryan O. is a Keep Growing Detroit Garden Resource Program member and a Partners in Food Sovereignty (PIFS). Ryan O. is also a member of the Clinton River Watershed Council, as well as, an Eastern Market Fellowship partner donor.
